Multi-disciplinary university, with 16 faculties 9 research institutes, 2 schools, 1 academy, several centres of research excellence and service centres have transformed UPM to emerge as the largest Science and Technology, and Agriculture based university in Malaysia with about 29,000 students in nearly 58 different undergraduate programs, and almost 5,000 post-graduate students from 60 different countries world-wide under numerous graduate programs. The university has over 1,700 academic staff, of which 62% are with Ph.D. degrees from universities worldwide.
